MEET ELIANA…

I Hello my name is Eliana (El-Lee-ah-nuh).

Here’s a little montage of things that have shaped me into the person I am today.

I was born in rural Ethiopia and adopted at age 4. Growing up I traveled around the country and camped with my family regularly—let me tell you, if you haven’t camped in a sleeping bag on the ground, peed out in the wilderness and not showered for a few days you haven’t experienced real camping!

I was an outdoors kid 100%, like outside in 108 degrees to -20 degrees and everything in between. I was often shooed out of the house after I’d worn down my mom’s nerves (I was an extremely energetic child). From a young age I always loved being creative, from playing imaginative games, drawing and writing, to building fairy houses around the yard. (Honestly I became a master fairy house constructor).

In my adult years I’ve enjoyed poetry, journaling, art with various medium, traveling, talking to people and such. I found my love for hair while doing friends’ hair during middle school, and I realized that it was a way for me to help and to connect with them. I enjoy a good conversation and I value the stories I hear and share with other people, and I found doing hair had a great balance of that share and give culture that we all crave and need.
